Senior product designer with over 8 years in the B2B and B2C SaaS enterprise space, working with cross functional teams & collaborating with stakeholders
Process
I begin with Understanding & Defining. Including conducting user research to understand users' needs, behaviors, and motivations. May involve interviews, surveys, observation, and analyzing any existing data. Then problem definition, clearly defining the problem I am solving. (personas, user stories)
Then I move on to Ideation and Conceptualization. I start with brainstorming, sketching, mind mapping, and workshops.
From there, I move on to Designing and Prototyping. I develop detailed wires to outline the structure of the product, including layout, and navigation. Prototyping
Then I move on to User Testing & Feedback. I conduct both moderated and unmoderated usability tests with real users to gather feedback on the prototype.
Now it's time to move on to the Visual Design & Specification. I apply visual design principles to create an engaging and intuitive user interface. This includes choosing color schemes, typography, iconography, and when applicable, a style guide.
Cross-functional Collaboration is a crucial part of the process. I work closely with developers, engineering, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the process to ensure the design meets both user needs and business goals.
Finally, for Launch & Monitor, I evaluate and once the product is launched, monitor its performance, gather user feedback, and conduct post-launch usability testing. I believe in continuous improvement and use the insights gained post-launch to make further improvements. The design process is iterative, and ongoing optimization is key to meeting users' evolving needs.
