About this service
Summary
1. Intros
Before moving any further, we need to see if we’re a good fit. At this stage, I’ll learn about your company and your project. We’ll also see if our timelines align and if the project budget works for us both.
2. Proposal
A formal proposal will be created with phases outlined to keep the project on schedule.
Within the proposal will be the project cost. Depending on the project type, scope, and goals, there may be multiple options here.
After you’ve selected the project from within the proposal, you’ll be sent a contract and the project deposit invoice of 50%.
3. Discovery
With the project confirmed, the next step is learning about your brand.
This can be done either through a 30-minute video call or in your own time through a questionnaire.
At the discovery phase, we’ll also agree on what success looks like for the project.
4. Direction
Speaking about design can be abstract, so I make it more visual. I’ll curate a selection of reference websites in groups. From here, we’ll discover what you like and don’t like, so we’re agreeing on a direction and getting the design right the first time.
5. Copywriting & Wireframes
The copywriting phase can often come at the end of the process, but to design an effective website, we need it before the design. I’ll assemble a rough site outline with the words and layout in place. The copy can be refined in the design phase.
If you’d prefer to work with a dedicated copywriter on this, I can recommend some fantastic ones.
6. Design
We’ll move into the design phase with the wireframes and copy approved.
This is where the project comes to life, as you’ll see your new site at both the laptop and phone sizes. You’ll receive preview links, enabling you to get a real feel for how it will operate.
7. Development
Taking the approved designs, it's time to turn them into a functioning website that is viewable on the internet.
This will be done with a service called Framer for its rapid development process, fast websites, and ease of updating.
You’ll have access to a private preview link to see how it's looking throughout the development.
8. Testing
Your site needs to be checked and tested across multiple browsers and devices. The web is an ever-evolving entity, so this makes sure everything is looking as intended, and there are no surprises once we go live.
9. Live
The final step is pushing the big red button and putting your site live online for all to see.
