About this service

Summary

The brand designing process will have four main stages: Information about the company, logo design, brand assets and lastly, the brand guidelines and handover.
The client is free to choose any stage individually if they only need a few things done and do not want to commit to a full rebrand. Pricing will be altered and discussed on a per project basis.
1. Information about the company
This process starts by having a meeting with the client so they can put a name to the face. I like to show a personable side and connect with the client because the process can become quite disconnected if this is not done. Alternatively, communication via contra or emails are fine as well. Here the client will state what their wants and needs are for their company and they will asked questions or be given a questionnaire to be filled out regarding several aspects of their company. This enables me to can understand who they are and what direction to take the design in.
These questions are based several factors about their business:
Internal drivers:
What is their company about?
What vision do they have for said company?
What beliefs and values do they have within their company?
External drivers:
How do they support clients?
What is their single minded proposition?
What is the company's positioning within their industry
Personality:
What language is conveyed by the company?
What behaviours are conveyed by the company?
What appearance does their brand make to the public audience
Then, personas will be created which mirror a person from the company's target audience. This step ensures the language and appearance of the new brand will be in-line with their habits so they are naturally attracted to your company.
Lastly, there will be a mood board that is mocked up and presented to the client for them to tick off. The mood board essentially contains the brand's feeling overall i.e. what kind of design elements like colour, type, logo style, textures fit both the company's identity and meet the target audience's needs.
2. Logo Design
Once all the above has been approved and solidified, the logo design process commences. I will explore multiple avenues with which to take the new branding in and ultimately offer two choices to the client where they can have their input.
This process will continue until the client is happy with the product.
3. Brand Assets
After stage 2, the client can further extend their brand by having added graphics and assets. These assets can include:
Business cards*
Posters/flyers*
Social media templates
Brand textures and patterns
Letterheads
Stationary*
Other material that is requested by the client*
The client will be able to see these assets in their real world settings via mockups so they can visualise how it will look in real life.
*note: physical copies of any assets will not be provided and will have to be sourced by the client.
4. Brand Guidelines and Handover
Following all the stages, I will produce a guideline about how to best utilise the brand assets and how to apply them across all different media.
If the client chooses to have a few stages done and not all, there will still be an altered guideline given to the client that suits their needs.
Once all has been ticked off and payment has been processed, the client will receive all assets via a Google Drive link or through whatever sharing method they wish.
Payment structures will be discussed with the client. The general and preferred structure is as follows:
50% of total payment after stage 1
20% of total payment after stage 2
20% of total payment after stage 3
10% of total payment after stage 4
Any additional work that is wanted by the client will be discussed and typically addressed with additional payment.
