My background and interests are primarily in education and the physical sciences, but I am willing to write (and learn!) about a large variety of nonfiction topics.
I hold a Master's degree in Chemistry and I'm working on a second Master's in Science Writing. I taught math and science for twelve years before turning to a career in writing. I have always been good at distilling complex subjects into plain language, and I want to put that skill to use as a freelancer.
What's included
Word or Google document with written content
I can write nonfiction content (250 to 1,200 words typically) for a variety of client needs: explainers, product reviews, opinion, analysis, reported features, profiles, Q&As, etc.
The finished piece will include links/references to source material for fact-checking.
FAQs
If there is reporting involved, up to three weeks (but probably two).
If I do not need to contact outside sources or do much research, one week is sufficient.
Hourly. The invoice will include an itemized breakdown of time spent on different aspects of the project.
