FAQs
What kind of data can you analyse?
I work with structured datasets in CSV or Excel, including environmental, biological, behavioural, experimental, and observational data. If the dataset is unusual or complex, I can review it first and confirm the best way to proceed.
How do you decide which statistical test to use?
I look at your research question, the structure of your data, and the assumptions behind each method. Then I choose the test or model that fits best (e.g., ANOVA/ANCOVA, regressions, GLM/GLMM, non-parametric tests). I always explain the reasoning clearly.
Do you check assumptions before running the analysis?
Yes. I always check normality, homoscedasticity, independence, transformations, and model fit. If assumptions are not met, I choose a more appropriate method or transform the data.
Can you write the interpretation of the results?
Yes. I provide a clear explanation of the statistical output: effects, confidence intervals, p-values, model significance, and what the results mean in practical terms—ready to place in a results section.
Do I need to prepare the dataset before sending it?
No. You can send it as it is. If it needs cleaning, I can do that too or let you know what should be adjusted.
Can you update the analysis later if I add more data?
Of course. If you collect new samples or measurements, I can re-run the analysis or update the models. We simply review what changed and continue from there.
