Yes! Every project includes styleframes and/or a storyboard to ensure we align visually and conceptually before animating. This is part of my design-first approach.
Can you work with existing brand assets or guidelines?
Absolutely. I love working within a brand’s visual identity and can adapt your existing assets into animated formats while maintaining consistency and cohesion.
How many rounds of revisions are included?
Typically, I offer 3 rounds of revisions after the first animation draft. Additional rounds can be added based on your needs and timeline.
What do I need to prepare before we begin?
A clear brief, brand assets (logos, colours, fonts), reference links (if any), and your intended platform (social, web, etc.). If you’re unsure, I’ll guide you through the prep process 😊
What file formats will I receive?
You’ll get a high-resolution final video (MP4/MOV), working project files (After Effects), and supporting visuals like styleframes or stills.
Do you offer sound design or music?
Yes — I can help source licensed background music and basic sound design to enhance your video. Please note: music licensing fees are not included in my base rate and will be billed separately based on your choice of track and intended usage (e.g. social, commercial, broadcast). I’ll always provide options and guide you through the selection process.

Concept & Storyboarding
This is where we shape the creative vision before production begins. In the concept phase, we define the story, visual tone, and key messaging based on your goals. In the storyboarding phase, we translate that vision into a scene-by-scene visual plan — outlining the flow, transitions, and key visuals to ensure clarity and alignment before styleframe, animation, or design work starts. This helps streamline the process and ensures we’re all moving in the same direction.
Styleframes
Styleframes are still images that represent key moments of the final look and feel, like a visual snapshot of what the animation or video will look like before it moves. This stage focuses on defining the design direction, including colours, typography, illustration or motion graphic style, and overall visual mood. We typically develop a few key frames based on the approved storyboard to give you a clear picture of the outcome. This ensures the aesthetic aligns with your brand and vision before production begins.
Animation
This is where everything comes to life. Using the approved storyboard and styleframes as a blueprint, we animate the visuals with precise timing, motion transitions, and sound integration (if applicable). This stage involves detailed work in movement, pacing, and expression to ensure the final piece is engaging, polished, and aligned with your goals. The final 2D animation will run for 1 minute in length.
Deliverables
You’ll receive a high-quality MP4/MOV video file, along with the full project working files (e.g., After Effects, Illustrator, or Photoshop files) for future use or reference.
