About this service

Summary

All editing projects are done by me using Microsoft along with the editing feature within. Queries will be made through Microsoft using the track change feature.

Process

Use Microsoft for Journals and Literary Review editing.

Down payment of 35%, from the word count price.

For academic editing, I will use Google Docs and Microsoft.

Will use queries when editing.

Some use of AI when it comes to mechanics like grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

What's included

One-on-one Meeting
Will meet with a client for a one-on-one meeting to discuss what their concerns are regarding the manuscript.
Payment
Payment will be calculated by word count. Depending on how much it totals out client will need to place a down payment of 35%.
What I Edit
At this time, I edit journals like Psychology, History, and Literary Reviews. Will edit other types as later on.
Academic Editing
If academic work is already written out, I edit clients' work as well.
Where Copyediting & Queries Are Made
Will leave queries if writing leaves confusion for readers. All copyediting will be done through Microsoft, where clients will get a copy of the manuscript so that they can make changes.
Mechanics
I as the freelancer will work on grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
Formatting Style
All editing will be referenced by the Chicago Style Manual 17 edition. For the sciences formatting will be created in APA Style as well. With literary works, will format in MLA Style.
Editing Limit
When it comes to editing longer journals and literary reviews, I will break down the page limit so that the freelancer in charge will not get overwhelmed. Depending on the page limit, the price may change.
