The client can provide a script or we can create one together. I will also create a visual script, which is a list of written ideas for what could be on screen.

After discussing the brand guidelines and visual themes, I will create approximately 3-5 style frames depending on budget and length of film.

The storyboards will be a visual run through, shot by shot, of what will be happening on screen during the film. These will be accompanied by a written a description and script.

To get a feel for timing and pace, I will create an animatic from the storyboard frames. This is a video composed of the storyboard frames, showing camera moves and tempo. We would also integrate sound at this point.

At this stage I'd focus for a block of time on animation alone, closely following the storyboards, style frames and animatic. I'll create the final animated explainer, sharing 'wips' (work in progress) clips as required. We will have an agreed number of 'rounds of amends' to make sure it's just right and ... voi la!
