This is a package that includes both a line and developmental edit. Both edits will be conducted at the same time.

A line edit includes:

In-depth examination of voice at a sentence level to ensure clarity and effectiveness

Line-by-line evaluation of writing style and voice as it pertains to syntax

Collaboration with the author to evaluate intent and themes both in-sentence and across the manuscript

A developmental edit includes:

Assessment of overall cohesiveness and continuity of content

Deeper examination of pacing, dialogue, and sequence as it relates to the entirety of the manuscript

Evaluation of plot, character development and arcs, and voice throughout the manuscript

All rates are already reduced and based off of the average rates as set by the Editorial Freelancers Association. Their rates can be found here: https://www.the-efa.org/rates/

As it is set hourly, the average pages edited in an hour for developmental and line editing together are 3-5 pages per hour. This is dependent on a number of factors, so that is not a set ratio, please keep that in mind.
