About this service

Summary

With over 9 years of freelance experience as an audio engineer, Zach knows how to put the final pieces of your project in place to make it stand above the rest. This could be mixing and finishing your instrumental, combining and mixing recorded vocals with a provided instrumental, rearranging components of a song, fixing sonic issues, restoring quality problems (within reason), and more.

Process

Zach listens to a demo provided by a client and gets an overall feel for the big picture song idea.
Either with or without a demo, the Client provides Zach with the song's individual, unmarried, multitracks to be mixed down. This could look as simple as a vocal track and an instrumental, or the instrumental sound tracks to be mixed down and returned to the Client. These tracks could include drum sounds, percussion, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, synthesizers, lead/back vocals, adlib vocals, and sound effects.
Zach gets to work and provides client with a work in progress demo of the project, collecting Client notes and revisions to make. Usually up to 2-3 revisions will be made before a project is considered complete. This can be tentative according to the Client's needs with complex projects.
After implementing Client notes and needed revisions, Zach exports a final stereo .Wav file to be provided to the Client for their desired needs, upon their satisfaction.

FAQs

  • How long should I expect the process to take?

To deliver the best result possible, it takes time. As an engineer, each project has different demands to be met. Some songs take 3 days to complete, some songs take 2 weeks. It depends on the condition of the tracks provided. The better the preparation, the faster the work is done.

  • Can I trust you with my songs?

Absolutely! If we make a move that fails to meet your expectations, speak up about it! We won't be offended and want to work with you to make it the best final project possible. To do that, we collaborate and listen to our clients. If there is ever a moment you feel uncomfortable following through with us having your resources, you are welcome to rescind them and look to complete it elsewhere.
