What stage is the design system delivered in? Is it just the design file?
I deliver a minimum viable design system, which includes the foundational design tokens, a core set of components in the designated design tool (i.e., Figma), and documentation. I also ensure it is immediately ready for engineering to begin implementation.
How long does the process take, and how is the project scope determined?
The timeline typically ranges from 4 to 8 weeks, depending on complexity and required component count. The scope is determined by an initial audit of your existing products and a priority workshop to identify the most critical components needed to achieve immediate efficiency.
We already have existing brand styles. How will you integrate them?
I start every project with an audit to map and consolidate your existing brand guidelines, styles, and UI patterns. I will integrate these directly into the new system via Design Tokens, ensuring brand consistency is maintained while eliminating any current inconsistencies and make sure it is cohesive.
