I have over a decade of experience in the traditional and indie publishing worlds, working with everything from academic monographs to niche erotica titles.
My particular passions include:
Nonfiction: personal growth/self-help titles, memoir, sexuality education titles, projects with a feminist or social justice focus, and projects representing diverse experiences
Fiction: dystopian/apocalyptic, romance, fantasy, horror, and young adult projects
That said, I'm glad to consider projects across the board!
NOTE: I know how intimidating it can be to reach out for editing services, especially if you're a first-time author. Here are some questions I get a lot!
What's the difference between a proofread and a copyedit? Copyediting takes place before a manuscript has been formatted/typeset. It's the real "heavy lifting" stage of mechanical editing! Proofreading, on the other hand, takes place after formatting/typesetting and focuses specifically on outright errors and on potential issues introduced during the formatting process.

What if I'm looking for multiple services? Message me! I might be able to offer you a package deal with other services.
How do you determine your fee for my project? I ask that all authors send me a short sample of the work that they would like proofread so that I can look it over and provide an informed quote. If you're comfortable sending the whole piece over, even better! Rates are based on the piece's genre, length, writing style, and current level of cleanliness.
How do you provide feedback? That depends on the format in which you send over your manuscript! For .doc projects, I mark up the project using Word's Track Changes feature. For PDF projects, I annotate the projects with suggested corrections using Adobe Reader. And for all other formats, I provide a Word document listing suggested corrections.
Do you offer free sample edits? Sure thing! For sample edits, I ask that authors send over their full piece. I'll choose a random passage to proofread and get it back to you within 3 business days! (I edit 1000 words from manuscripts over 12,000 words, 100–500 words from shorter pieces.)
