Do you write the newsletter?
While I do write newsletters for clients, this particular service is only for initial setup. I will however leverage my professional writing experience to provide you with a Brand Voice Guide, a Wireframe Template, and a Welcome Email.
Will it work with my niche?
99% sure it will. Please reach out in advance to check your requirements.
Is email automation included?
The short answer is no. Email sequences can vary drastically, and they work differently across multiple platforms. This service focuses only on the initial setup and includes a single Welcome Email that can be sent automatically to each new subscriber. I'd be happy to help you with an email sequence once the publication is live.
Do you provide graphics and design?
No. This service focuses on the structural work that goes into setting up and managing a newsletter. It's centred around smart workflows and efficient writing templates. I will however need you to provide your desired logos and cover images in platform-specific aspect-ratios. If you need extra help, there are some amazing graphic designers available for hire right here on Contra.

What's included

Onboarding Call
Set aside 30-60 minutes for a video call to discuss the nitty-gritty details of your project. I'll send you a questionnaire in advance so that you're prepared for the call.
Newsletter Platform Setup
I'll prepare the backend for your newsletter HQ. Choose between Substack, Beehiiv, or Kit.
Collaborative Workspace Setup
I'll create a Notion Workspace where we can strategize and draft content. The workspace will house the following deliverables: Brand Voice Guide / Wireframe Draft / Content Database
Brand Voice Guide
A reference document to keep the newsletter tone consistent and on-brand. This helps transition between different team members and freelance writers. It can also be used as a prompt to guide AI drafts.
Wireframe Draft
A pre-formatted newsletter template with multiple sections so that you never start on an empty page.
Content Database
A Notion database to structure your creative project. The entire library of concepts, drafts, and published issues is maintained here.
Welcome Email
A professionally written automated email to help make new subscribers feel at home and guide them to any relevant resources.
