Even the best writers need an editor to catch things you may have missed on the first pass or have become blind to after staring at it too long! I have edited professionally for several years, and I have done work for online e-book self-publishers and authors whose books are carried in Barnes and Noble. I have edited for a NY Times best-selling author in the romance-thriller genre, a popular online digest publisher, as well as first-time authors of everything from spiritual self-help and advice for parents of children with disabilities to sci-fi and other fiction genres. My primary guide of choice when editing is The Elements of Style by Strunk and White, but I am also proficient in any specific style you may require for your work (Chicago, AP, etc.)
