FAQs
What is brand identity/ Brand Design, and why is it important?
Brand identity is the visual and verbal expression of a brand, including its logo, colour palette, typography, imagery, and tone of voice. It helps businesses differentiate themselves from competitors, build trust with their target audience, and create a memorable and recognisable brand experience. It is the Gut feeling your clients have above your business.
How long does a brand identity project take?
The duration of a brand identity project varies depending on the scope and complexity of the project. On average, a comprehensive brand identity project can take anywhere from 1 to 12 weeks, including research, strategy development, design iterations, and final deliverables.
What is the difference between a logo and a brand identity?
A logo is a single visual element that represents a brand, while a brand identity encompasses all the visual and verbal elements that work together to create a cohesive and consistent brand experience. A logo is an important part of a brand identity, but it is not the only element.
How much does a brand identity project cost?
The cost of a brand identity project depends on various factors, such as the project's scope, the designer's experience, and the client's specific requirements. Prices can range from a few thousand dollars for a basic identity package to tens of thousands of dollars for a comprehensive branding solution.
What deliverables can I expect from a brand identity project?
Typical deliverables for a brand identity project include a logo design (in various formats and colour variations), colour palette, typography guidelines, visual elements (patterns, icons, illustrations), brand guidelines document, and design files for stationery and marketing collaterals.
Will I own the rights to my brand identity designs?
In most cases, once you have paid for the project in full, you will own the rights to the final brand identity designs. However, it's essential to discuss intellectual property rights and ownership with me and have a clear agreement in place before starting the project and these i will add in the contract agreement.
How many revisions can I request during the design process?
Typically, I offer 2-3 rounds of revisions to refine the designs based on your feedback. Additional revisions may incur extra charges. However when you check the contract agreement, it has this covered
What if I don't like the initial design concepts
If you don't like the initial design concepts, provide constructive feedback to me, explaining what aspects you don't like and what you'd like to see instead. As a professional designer, I will work with you to refine the designs and create solutions that meet your expectations.
How can I ensure my brand identity is consistently applied across all touchpoints?
To ensure consistent application of your brand identity, it's essential to have a comprehensive brand guidelines document that outlines the proper usage of your logo, colour palette, typography, and other visual elements I will provide which is on the deliverables. Share this document with all stakeholders, including employees, partners, and vendors of your brand to maintain brand consistency.
Can I update my brand identity in the future?
Yes, brand identities can evolve and be updated over time to stay relevant and reflect changes in a business's goals, target audience, or market conditions. However, it's essential to maintain a balance between refreshing your brand identity and maintaining brand recognition and equity
