A new service I have developed based on my experience as a writer, storyboarder, and motion designer. Through an open series of conversations, we will work together to draw out the key characteristics and aims of the story you want to tell your audience, translating your mission into easily communicable words and then into thoughtful, engaging, and inspiring moving image. Think of it as Pre-Production Plus. Aims of each session are as follows: 1. Initial half-hour brief: Introduce ourselves and our goals for the sessions, then break away to reflect on next steps. 2. First workshop, 1hr: Dive deeper into the brief. Unearth the gems of your story, key emotional and intellectual appeals, and what visual tone will resonate with your audience. Come away with a developed and exciting idea of the shape of your video project. 3. Second workshop, 1hr: Using what we learned in our first workshop, I will provide storyboards, animatics ('barebones' animated video demonstrating shot timings and composition), style frames (static visual concepts of a final product), useful references, and a costed roadmap to the finished product. We review together and establish what you think works, what doesn't, and what else needs to be added. After this session, we can decide whether you want to proceed in making this video, or whether it's not the right course of action for now. Either way, you will keep all assets produced.
