Price Breakdown
Each Illustration requires a Design Retainer to get the design process started. This process is quite complex and can sometimes take longer than the painting itself. This includes sketches and digital color studies that are submitted for approval.
A non-refundable Design Retainer of $200 is do prior to the start of the design process.
The full balance is do on the day of completion.
How we'll Start
We'll arrange a phone call or Zoom/Teams Meeting
We'll discuss all the specifications and goals.
We'll come up with a manageable timeline.
I will collect any illustration inspiration i.e. photos or images if you have them.
I will collect the Design Retainer and get started on a black & White sketch.
Once the sketch is approved, I'll create a loose color study based off of the sketch.
Once the color study is approved, that's it! I'll get the painting started.
Need additional items?
If you need anything specific to your project, maybe you're looking for multiple illustrations for a record inlay or a fully illustrated graphic novel, I'd be happy to supply you with a custom budget proposal.
What's included
Traditional/Digital Illustration
This includes any type of illustration from wall art to a fully illustrated comic book. I'm typically a traditional painter, focused on watercolor and acrylic painting, but I'm open to digital painting if applicable. The price includes any design elements as well. For example, if I'm hired to illustrate a book cover I can design/incorporate any text or logos. ***If multiple illustrations are needed we can discuss a prorated price.
