Blackwork: HTML template for tattoo studios and artists by Davor BosnjakovicBlackwork: HTML template for tattoo studios and artists | Contra
Blackwork is a website template for tattoo studios with several artists. It also fits single tattoo artists, fine line and dotwork studios, piercing studios and guest-spot collectives. There is no shop and no cart: every button leads to a booking request, so everything works as it is. Plain HTML5, CSS3 and vanilla JavaScript, no frameworks, no build tools.
The site is dark and quiet, so the tattoos carry it. Every tattoo photo arrives the way a tattoo is made: first a violet stencil print of its lines, then a needle shades across it in passes and the real photo appears behind it, then the grey tones settle in. The studio name in the hero is tattooed the same way, and the big name in the footer waits as a stencil until it is fully on screen.

Pages (12)

Home: a full-screen back piece with the studio name, the artists, how a session goes (stencil, line, shade), recent work, flash, what clients say, questions and the booking invitation
Artists, and a page for each of the four artists with their story, quote, next free date and their work
Work with a filter by style (Blackwork, Realism, Fine line, Dotwork)
Flash: ready-made designs, "Claim this flash" opens the booking form with that design chosen
Aftercare step by step with all questions (FAQ), Studio (rooms, hygiene, guest spots, visit)
Book a session (form), 404

Features

Signature motion: every photo is stenciled, lined and shaded on screen; headings are inked in and stay real text
Photo viewer: a click opens any work photo full size, with arrows, close, keyboard and swipe on phones
Booking form with artist, flash, size and budget buttons, its own checks and messages, no browser pop-ups (works with Formspree, Getform, Basin)
Work filter, questions that open and close, a header that turns white over the hero
Colours and fonts in the tokens: change a line and the whole site follows
Smooth scrolling (Lenis) on mouse screens, back to top button, mail links that also copy the address
Fully responsive from 320 px, W3C valid, respects "reduce motion", works without JavaScript

Included
