Ambition is a Dirty Word for Women

AMBITION IS A DIRTY WORD FOR WOMEN
Why do people hate ambitious women? Why does the world act like a woman who wants power and success is unnatural, selfish, or even dangerous?

Ask yourself this: Why was Hillary Clinton hated so much when she ran for president? Many Americans didn’t agree with her politics, but the hatred went deeper. She was called a "nasty woman," "cold," and "too ambitious." Some said she should have stayed home and supported her husband. Why? Because people couldn’t handle a woman openly wanting power. They found it threatening, unnatural.

Hillary became the symbol of what society truly thinks about ambitious women:

they don’t belong at the top

Funny enough, this isn’t just an American thing. Take Japan.
Over there, women who work corporate jobs are tagged with the label “career women,” like it’s some kind of insult. It’s not just a name, no. It’s a reminder to stay in their lane. In 2018, Tokyo Medical University got caught red-handed lowering the exam scores of female applicants. Their excuse? Women would eventually leave their jobs to have babies, so why “waste” resources training them? Imagine that. Women smart enough to save lives, sidelined because someone decided their ambition was “impractical.”

And then there’s the almighty India. When actress Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas, the backlash was unreal. People called her “too ambitious,” accusing her of marrying a younger, successful man to climb the Hollywood ladder. The audacity! Priyanka didn’t hide her ambitions, and that alone was enough to spark outrage. She summed it up perfectly: “Ambition is considered ugly in women.”

Why is it that when a man dreams big, he’s a hero, but when a woman does, she’s a villain?
