Writer's Statement:
Inspired by atmospheric works that conjure visions of moody gothic romance, Pyro sets its tale in the backdrop of the Pacific Northwest. With characters and dialogue ripped straight out of a 90s indie film, we are thrown into a tantalizing world that's both seductive and heartwarming. Tackling themes of power, identity, beauty, and value, Pyro reflects on the role that relationships play in our everyday lives and the importance of loving others and loving yourself.
Summary:
After spending the majority of her life moving from state to state, Reina Night craves a sense of stability in her new home of Olympia, Washington. From bookstores to coffee shops to art galleries, Reina begins to find her place in the quiet city.
However, after meeting a mysterious stranger named Misha, that quiet peace soon turns to punk shows, sex work, and secret societies.
As Reina's world begins to spin off axis, she must find her way back to solid ground while trying to save the ones she loves.
