Precise Video Transcription & Voice Synchronization
Subtitle Creation for XING’s Online Videos
As part of this Contra project, I was responsible for creating high-quality subtitles for XING’s online videos. The primary goal was to enhance accessibility and usability while ensuring the highest level of precision in transcription.
Key aspects of this project included:
Precise Speaker Segmentation: The start and end times of each speaker’s dialogue were meticulously adjusted to ensure accuracy.
Multiple Rounds of Proofreading: The transcripts underwent several revisions to guarantee correctness and readability.
Optimized Subtitle Length: The subtitles were carefully adjusted for optimal usability, making them easy to read while maintaining a natural flow.
Enhanced Accessibility: The subtitles were structured to meet accessibility standards, making the content more inclusive for viewers with hearing impairments.
This project contributed to improving user experience and engagement by providing clear and well-synchronized subtitles for XING’s professional video content.
Process Overview
Timecoding & Speaker Synchronization
Each subtitle segment was meticulously timecoded to match the exact start and end of the speaker’s dialogue.
Special attention was given to synchronization, ensuring that subtitles appeared and disappeared naturally in line with the spoken words.
Subtitle Optimization
The length of each subtitle was adjusted for readability, ensuring an optimal balance between duration and line length.
Subtitle splitting was done carefully to maintain logical sentence flow and improve comprehension.
Final Delivery in SRT Format
The completed subtitles were exported in SRT format, ready for direct integration into XING’s video platform(s).
The final SRT files met industry standards for accessibility, improving the viewing experience for a broader audience, including individuals with hearing impairments.
