My Record • Designing a Platform for Digital Storytelling

MyRecord is a storytelling platform that allows users to capture, map, and share personal stories tied to specific locations. The app aims to preserve memories across generations, encourage storytelling, and leave a historical mark by sharing experiences with a global audience.

The homepage features prominent download buttons for both Google Play and the App Store, making it easy for users to get started. The intuitive layout guides users to the core functionality—recording and sharing their personal stories.

A key feature of MyRecord is its ability to tie stories to specific locations. I designed the interface to allow users to record memories and pin them to a map, adding context and emotional significance to each story.

The listening experience is simple and engaging, with an integrated media player that showcases personal stories. The minimalist design focuses on ease of use, ensuring that users can quickly access and listen to stories without unnecessary distractions.

I built features that allow users to share their stories with the community or privately with friends and family. The platform fosters a sense of connection by encouraging users to listen to and engage with each other’s experiences.

Given the app’s mobile nature, I prioritized a responsive design that works seamlessly across devices, ensuring that users can easily record and access stories whether they’re on desktop or mobile.

MyRecord offers users a simple, intuitive way to share their personal stories with the world. The design focuses on emotional connection, ease of use, and community engagement, making storytelling accessible to everyone—from tech-savvy users to those less familiar with digital platforms.
