Blog niches that consistently generate leads.

If you are looking for endless possibilities, blogging is the thing for you. You can write about anything (from anyWHERE) and make good money if you’re strategic enough. You probably already know that (and if not, you should probably stick around for next month’s update…👀).
But how can you make sure the topic you choose to write about is a real gem??
In this post, I will share with you the most reliable blog niches to choose if you are just starting out. But first…
Niches are specialities. Construction companies specializing in building retail spaces, bloggers writing about parenting…the list goes on and on.
The whole purpose of a niche is to more clearly signal to your audience what you’re all about. Most people don’t have the time, patience, or attention span to spend more than a few seconds (a minute at most) on your About page.
Be concise, straightforward, and bold the parts that really matter.

Is having a blogging niche important?

Eh…kind of! When I looked up the definition of “niche”, Google also recommended the synonym “ideal position”. Why is that?

Everyone hoping to profit from something has a niche! By specializing down to a specific target audience, you actually raise your chances of making money, because you weed out all the customers you don’t want to work with.

You can go awhile without having one, for sure. But if you’re looking to go the distance, picking a niche is vital.
Alright, alright. Enough stalling! Here are the best blogging niches. TO. DATE.

LIFESTYLE

Timeless and forever loved. If you are looking to start a blog and don’t have a specific passion, this is probably your best bet. Lifestyle bloggers have the freedom to talk about a whole host of things from mindset, motivation, “leveling-up” in life…you name it!
People love following those that they admire. If you have an enigmatic personality, are great at networking, or you’re just taking a different approach to life, I’m sure there are people that would love to hear your story.
Going further, this niche is so adaptable and great for social media. Even though I’ve creating a blog within the writing niche, every time I post something even remotely lifestyle oriented, it’s gotten more eyes!

TIP: Even though the sky’s the limit, it’s still helpful to separate your topics by sub-niche on your website. Use tags, or separate pages to make it easier for your audience to get to the content they really care about. Staying organized can only help you in the long run.

CRAFTS/DIY

Straightforward and evergreen. If you’ve seen those ridiculous videos on TikTok of people making shoes out of brooms (I wish I were making that up…), then you know that everything D.I.Y. is not going to die anytime soon.
Your blog content doesn’t have to be that cheesy, though! Remember, everything on your blog should be giving your audience value. So, ask yourself:
What shortcuts or crafts have I used in the past that other people would benefit from?
Is there any artwork or crafts that I’ve perfected over time?
Do I create (or modify) anything that helps me save money?
If it’s aesthetically pleasing or saves people money, it will definitely generate leads and get you those page views that you need!

COOKING

This is a no-brainer. So long as humans have been conscious, there have been recipes. If you have a passion for baking or cooking, and love to experiment or improve upon other recipes you’ve tried, this could really work for you!
Take photos of your beautiful creations, give instructions on how best to make the dish, and include possible substitutions people could use. My personal favorites are the posts with ingredients lists that you can “tick-off” as you go through the steps. 😌
Want to niche down further? Maybe tailor your blog toward a specific type of diet, like Vegan, Mediterranean, Keto-Friendly…the list is endless! You also just include different tags or pages for dietary restrictions.
Who knows, if you really commit to it and steadily build your audience, you could one day publish a cookbook or go pro!

INTERIOR DESIGN

This is one of my favorites!!! Help people with ✨style✨.
Really think about your target audience. Are they just starting college and looking to stand out with their dorm room swag? Maybe you want to speak to new homeowners that are confused by all the different design jargon and materials they are seeing on the market?
Give clarity, guidance and recommendations! Take photos of things you see “in the wild” and give examples of how you can design a room around them. You could write a quick post reviewing episodes of your favorite HGTV (if you’re in the US) or other interior design and renovation shows.
This blog niche is so magnifique, and truly classy. Be as creative as you want, just make sure to provide high quality photos to entice your audience!

How do you know these blog niches are good?

Okay, so you read this far, but you still don’t believe me? Go see for yourself: all you have to do is search the niche/topic on Pinterest!
Pinterest is a search engine that directs viewers to blog posts much more efficiently than Google does. Knowing this, most bloggers have an active Pinterest account and post there every time they add something new to their blog.
(Case in point, you should see a Pin right above this section, with the option to pin it if you hover over it!)
Furthermore, Pinterest is a platform driven by women. A majority of the audience there are women between the ages of 18 and 35; fairly young. Ask yourself, what are they usually looking up or pinning on Pinterest?
At the end of the day, a good niche is a niche that you would enjoy writing about and can stay consistent with. If you can stay consistent and post regularly, you will build trust and familiarity with your audience, leading to more page views.
There are a lot of things that go into starting a blog. The least of your problems should be boring topics, so choose wisely!!!
