Writer's Statement:

I have been working on this novel for over six years and hold it close to my heart as one of my most cherished and favorite works. My life has been shaped by powerful witches, from Sally Owens to Nancy Downs, I'm fascinated with the role magic plays in the stories we tell. Even more, I am enchanted by the escapism fantasy provides for those looking for a little more whimsy in their lives.

The Cat's Cradle explores themes of identity, trauma, family, and the lost connection to nature and spirituality which force the reader to question what it means to live in an unjust society and how these societies shape who we are.

Summary:

Five years after their homeland of Eden is invaded and destroyed, four witch siblings– Zahra, Blair, Kai, and Rainbow– find themselves inhabiting the world of non-magical humans. Forced to separate and keep their abilities secret, they struggle to make a new life for themselves in a society that rejects them.

One day, after they each receive a death omen, they reunite for the first time and consider who is the one marked for death. It isn’t until meeting a stranger that the family discovers their reunion was anything but a coincidence, as the danger that once threatened them has reappeared more nefarious than ever.
