Project overview:

My Role

UX designer leading the app and responsive website design from conception to delivery

Responsibilities:

My main responsibilities were conducting interviews, creating user personas, and journey maps, developing paper and digital wireframes, and low and high-fidelity prototypes, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, and iterating on designs.

User research: summary

Through in-depth user interviews, I meticulously crafted empathy maps to gain profound insights into our target users and their unique needs. Given the challenges posed by the pandemic, I strategically utilized online surveys as the cornerstone of my user research efforts. Among the most critical revelations, it became evident that patients often grapple with issues related to self-awareness and self-discipline concerning their medication adherence. The frustration stemming from missed doses was palpable. Additionally, a substantial portion of our audience expressed a strong inclination toward embracing a medication reminder application. However, they underscored the paramount importance of user-friendliness, simplicity, and the availability of customizable features, such as dose selection, medication type specification, and family treatment management functionality.

Ideation

In response to the gaps identified during my competitive audit, I swiftly initiated an ideation session, with a specific focus on innovative ways to introduce new medications into our product lineup.

Digital wireframes

Following an extensive ideation process and the initial drafting of paper wireframes, I transitioned to the development of the preliminary designs for the Medication Reminder app. The home screen serves as the focal point, displaying the user's daily medication schedule, allowing for the convenient marking of pills as taken, and providing a seamless option for adding new treatments.
