Getting to know For the Future’s Roots

For the Future began with a group of friends spent the day in the ancestral lands of the Yangil Tribe in Zambales.
Since their initial focus in reforestation, they have expanded to work on multiple advocacy projects such as climate art workshops, typhoon relief, education sponsorships, and more. They have mobilized over 60 communities in the Philippines, and continue to grow through collaborations, working with many local community members, artists, photographers, and other NGOs.

BUILDING FROM WHAT CURRENTLY EXISTS

For the Future began with a group of friends spent the day in the ancestral lands of the Yangil Tribe in Zambales. They realized we could do a lot more with our privilege and platform, started as a small reforestation project in Zambales, which has since branched out to multiple projects impacting thousands of individuals nationwide. ‍

Building an Sustainable and Interconnected Web Ecosystem

Throughout the Design & Research Process, we asked ourselves:
1. How can we create a central hub optimized for all core interactions with For the Future’s community (project updates, collaborations, donation channels, and social media updates)?
2. How can we design to uplift Filipino culture and community?
3. How do we create an accessible and inviting experience that inspires the youth to feel that they can also be change-makers in the Philippines?
4. How do we design a system that is sustainable and responsive as For the Future continues to grow and evolve?
