Overview 🔎

Emexene´s  role is to be an amplifier of the cultural heritage around mezcal, of its history and its creation process. This glasswear is an invite call to connect with your loved ones through the ritual that arises from the tasting of a spiritual beverage such as mezcal.

Problem & Solution 🤝

Glassware line to introduce and produce a design that promoted mexican culture, techniques of low resources artisans populations and the power of connecting with each other.

Process 🛣

The hole set was made tangible through both artesanal processes, such as blown glass and handmade cotton paper, and industrial for wood cutting. On a macro level, I doing user research to identify the trends and emotions that were going to lead him/her to connect on deeper levels, ideating and synthesizing design solutions, conducting usability testing and supervising the quality and feasibility of production.

Results 🎁

The final product has been exhibited in big trend design events such as Zona Maco at Design Week Mexico 2020 and Wanted Design at Manhattan,NY 2022.
