Matt Pike
It began in 2019, back when I was a User Interface Design student with CareerFoundry
There were a few options, but since I had no coding experience, I leaned toward some of the easier options, such as Wix or Squarespace. When I tried them out, however, I soon realized just how limiting they were in terms of styling and scalability — not ideal for somebody hoping to show off their design skills. I knew I wanted something better, but this was also during Covid, when I was a stay-at-home dad with an energetic toddler and very little free time, so I needed an option that required less work than coding from scratch. During my research, I kept hearing about Webflow — from other students and designers that I followed — and after playing around with it a bit, I knew it was perfect for what I needed.
The first few iterations were predictably awful, but I kept at it, learning everything I could about Web Design and Webflow Development — and even now, it's still a work-in-progress, but it sure has come a long way, and hopefully you enjoy it.
Cheers,
