KdT Ventures is a frontier science VC fund backing founders who are engineering the future at its deepest layer. Their site needed to match the weight of that mission — atmospheric, precise, and built to scale as their portfolio grows.
Project Overview 🔍
Fuzzco led branding, design, and copywriting; I came on as a Framer development subcontractor to handle the full build, animations, and interactions.
Project Goal ✅
Translate Fuzzco's design into a fully built site — matching the intended layered, atmospheric compositions without the layout breaking down in Framer's more rigid system.
Responsibilities 📋
Full Framer build: All animations, interactions, and site architecture, working from Fuzzco's brand and design direction
Custom layout engineering: Solved for overlapping cards and negative-margin compositions Framer doesn't natively support
Portfolio CMS architecture: Built a single CMS collection powering three differently-filtered portfolio views across the site
Interaction polish: Auto-collapse behavior on the portfolio detail page, so opening one company closes the previous
Technical Challenges
Framer has no native negative-margin support, but the design called for overlapping cards throughout the site. Getting that layered look required hand-built workarounds that held up without breaking responsiveness at any breakpoint.

The portfolio section was the biggest architecture problem: KdT's companies needed to show up in three different places, each filtered differently, all pulling from the same CMS collection — so the filtering system had to serve each section's unique logic from one source of truth instead of duplicating content across collections.

Results
Delivered layered, negative-margin compositions on a platform that doesn't natively support them
Built a single-source-of-truth CMS architecture powering three distinct filtered views
Shipped a site that feels as considered as the science KdT invests in
Takeaway
The best work here isn't visible on the surface — it's the site not breaking under a design brief that pushed past what Framer is built to do, in service of Fuzzco's vision.
