From Manuscript to Published Young Adult Fantasy Book

Worked with the author who had an unfinished manuscript. I read through the manuscript as it was and assessed plot and content. I laid out a detailed plot outline and addressed all missing elements and issues in the manuscript, giving the author a new plot outline to follow. From there, we worked in quarters with the author rewriting what they had according to the new plot outline. Afterwards, I would edit each quarter for both content and line edits. I then sent each quarter back to the author. From there, we also reviewed the manuscript in its entirety a final time which meant I provided 3 rounds of edits including a detailed summary and outline for the author to follow.
