LAKA’s offerings: a vinegar, adaptogenic nut butters, Kauai honey, and a custom blend of ceremonial-grade matcha, decorate the pantries of many an island dweller, and mainlander; women, and mothers, centering rituals and habits around a brand that believes in the simplicity of being well. I’ve known Liz for close to a decade now (back when she was still in her grinding-adaptogenic-nut-butters-in-a-small-Kauai-kitchen-post-college era), and the stars finally aligned in bringing us together to work on what this next iteration of the brand would look like. Guiding the brand through an identity refresh, and strategically reimagining LAKA’s packaging ecosystem, I wanted raw textures offset by striking patterns. Skin and sand and shells. At once playing with containment and play - that which is man made, and grown.
