In todays world there can be a lot of things that can damage your mental health that is why in todays blog post I will be discussing 3 easy ways to take your mental health to the next level.
The first easy way is by meditating. There is a common misconception that mediating is hard and people will often try to mediate and quit after they realise that in their first session they can't clear their minds. An important thing you need to know is this is normal, in an age where distractions are everywhere it is completely normal for you to struggle to meditate in the beginning. However, if you can continue this practice you will see your appreciation for the simple things in life sky rocket and you can reduce your anxiety or stress by focusing on your breath for a few minutes a day.
The second way is by socialising more. I know this can be an introverts nightmare, however, in order to have a good mental state you need to build meaningful connections as humans are social creatures. While socialising may seem daunting at first it is very easy nowadays because with the internet it is easy to find like minded people and meet up with them once a week. This practice can both create wonderful memories or let you relax from your worries for a few hours.
Finally, the most talked about method of improving your mood is by going outside and exercising. If you are a beginner to exercise it is easy to get overwhelmed by the vast array of information on the internet but my advice is to try new forms of exercise for 10 minutes a day and then stick to the one you enjoy. For example one day you can try running or swimming or hiking. Once you decided what you like you can then decided to research it more and actually increase the amount of time spent on exercise. Also if you like team sports it is a good way to socialise as well so you are knocking out two birds with one stone, and quickly improving your mental health.
These three things are quick and simple things you can do to improve your mental health. If you don't have much hope that things will get better I encourage you to do the things above as if you do them for long enough you will see life changing results.
