Dtechtive is a dataset search engine that helps:

Data users discover hidden datasets using AI.

Data Providers to enhance dataset discoverability & understand user need better.

Gautham desired the design decisions to be supported by user research:

Revise a new colour palette and illustrations to make it look more lively and user friendly.

Follow of accesibility guidelines by World Wide Web Conortium (W3C).

Create a new design system

Initial step involved understanding the existing product, its competitive market, current trends in the sector and its users response to it and expectation gap.

This was acheived through desktop study, competitive analysis, heuristic analysis, user interviews,exploratory calls with different stakeholders.

All of the analysis was then presented to gautham in a deck.

The compilations from the primary study were then ideated into wireframes which were revised after the discussions as per Gauthams inclination and usability testing.

I had a great experience working with Gautham, and was excited when he asked me to collaborate again for whitelabel of Dtechtive for the Government of Scotland as per their design system -Digital Scotland. It's rewarding to know that he appreciate my work and enjoy the same creative pursuits backed by research as I do.
