Client feedback:

We worked with Bogdan on the organic growth of a company called MagicFuse that operates in the Salesforce ecosystem. Bogdan was responsible for activities like content planning, guest posting, production of blog posts for our corporate blog, landing page optimization, SEO strategy, etc.
We increased our organic traffic, general visibility of content-related and commercial keywords, and pipeline contribution from inbound marketing.

Backstory

I was happy enough to join the project early. MagicFuse had the homepage and few service pages running at the moment I joined the project.
I audited what has been already done and drew a roadmap of things I’d like to make, as well as started working on the content plan.

The Goal:

To develop and execute the content marketing strategy that is able to generate leads at scale.

The Challenge

Fresh website. It’s easy to make Google hate you, but it is much harder to make it love your content, and your website accordingly.
It is the hardest to deal with a website that has close to zero authority in the eyes of search engines. That was the case with MagicFuse.

The Solution

Quality vs Quantity. This was related to both content and content seeding.
Let’s start with content. Because MagicFuse is a UK based Salesforce agency, all content was generated in UK English.
We had a content strategy, and long story short we were targeting the low-hanging fruits first. I’m speaking about long-tail keywords that have less competition but have a commercial intent.
I was lucky to jump into the project early and had a chance to work with MagicFuse’s designer with the UX/UI for the blog. For me it was important to keep the experience nice but at the same time make sure that MagicFuse was well rated in Google Web Vitals for both desktop and mobile.
It is worth mentioning that the Salesforce product ecosystem is huge, so are the amount of keywords you are able to target. We used the usual TOFU, MOFU, BOFU framework, where
TOFU – top of the funnel;
MOFU – middle of the funnel;
BOFU – bottom of the funnel;
BOFU is usually the place where the lead conversion happens.
I managed the whole content production starting from the brief, to the draft that is ready to be published. Link-building activities and content seeding were also managed by me.
On this graph you can see the exponential growth over the period I was involved in Magicfuse’s growth with organic traffic from search engines.

Linkbuilding tactics

Based on the keywords that were in the brief for each post, we prioritized what blog posts need to be backed with backlinks.
In order to grow fast I proposed to acquire the wide range of backlinks, starting from DA10.
Every month we were acquiring the reasonable amount of links in order to grow faster.
Two of the best performing pieces was the AppExchange Ecosystem Report and Salesforce Ventures investments report.
Here’s an example of an inline Call-to-action(CTA) that drove traffic to download the report:
Pumping lots of traffic to the top of the funnel helped MagicFuse score 139 potential leads. These warm leads helped to build the sales pipeline for MagicFuse’s outreach specialists.

Content Distribution (Seeding)

Creating content is 20%. 80% is distribution, internal and external linkbuilding.
For MagicFuse we developed an optimal cocktail of free and paid external links from websites like Reddit, Quora, niche forums, etc.
