👉 About the Brand
Literary Candle Co. is a small, London brand that sells eco-friendly scented candles. They create candles that are handmade with 100% domestically-grown soy wax, premium fragrance oils infused with essential oils, and cotton wicks.
👉 The Brief
When Literary Candle Co. wanted to launch a line of candles themed around Greek mythology, they knew it would have to be more than just a pretty scent. They wanted their packaging design to reflect the brand's love for literature, but in a modern, innovative way that would appeal to all readers.
👉 The Solution
I designed a packaging system that conveys a sense of excitement, while at the same time being down-to-earth. Minimal elements that tie the design to greek mythology are used throughout the packaging. The colors of the boxes and labels are representative of the God or the Goddess pertaining to their respective fragrances. The result was a package design that is both modern yet classic and eye-catching, and environment friendly making the order a delight to receive.
