Ashwin is a techno DJ who thrives in the underground electronic music scene in the UK and I helped him to create a personal brand. The brand revolves around the concept of darkness, mystery, and euphoria. Ashwin is known for crafting mind-bending audio-visual experiences, blending cutting-edge techno beats with haunting melodies and hypnotic rhythms.
Inspiration struck after witnessing the electrifying lights of Ashwin's performances. The logo's concept emerged from these lights, symbolizing the dynamic fusion of music and visuals. It encapsulated movement, rhythm, and the pulsating energy that defined Ashwin's DJ sets. Ashwin also wanted to incorporate his initials “A”, since this is a personal brand, subtly merged with the visual representation of dynamic lights.
At the core of the logo is the symbol of lights, which became a dynamic pattern and a signature element that reverberates throughout all branding materials. This creates coherence, ensuring that every touchpoint of Ashwin's brand narrative is recognizable.
The chosen color palette played a crucial role in shaping the brand's identity. The gradient – composed of fiery orange, deep dark grey, and ethereal light grey – was meticulously selected. Orange embodied the vibrant energy of Ashwin's music, black evoked the darkness, and light grey added some contrast to these colors.
The typography was carefully chosen to convey modernity and sophistication, while the logo's integration ensured its adaptability across various mediums.
