Web design and implementation for an Event Centre

I was approached by an acquaintance to design and develop a website to promote his barn, which is used as an event/retreat centre in the summer. It first started with the design of a visual style: a logotype, a color pallette and font selection. We found references to draw inspiration from and then, came up with a simple but illustrative design for the centre: something between a spiritual/oriental aesthetic and a rustic design. Then the design was implemented in Wordpress as a custom theme with the assistance of the Advanced Custom Fields, which helped in creating a simplified backoffice for the client to edit the website's content without confusion.
