A Pregnancy App Designed for First-Time Moms

Helping New Moms Feel Informed, Empowered, and Reassured — Every Single Day

Pregnancy is a time of wonder, but also of uncertainty, especially for first-time moms. Every ache feels unfamiliar. Every milestone feels like a mystery. And every missed detail can stir anxiety.
This app was designed to do one thing: make first-time moms feel cared for, understood, and supported. Not just with information, but with empathy, clarity, and timely action.

Product vision

First-time pregnancy is deeply personal. Our goal wasn’t just to build a utility app; it was to build emotional safety through thoughtful interaction. Every screen is designed to:
Lower stress
Reinforce trust in healthcare
Provide timely, digestible guidance
Make every visit and milestone feel like a shared celebration

Homepage: A glimpse on your babies growth

First-time moms often wonder if their baby is growing as expected. The lack of visible signs in early weeks can make them feel uncertain or disconnected from their pregnancy.

💡 Tracking growth

The app turns clinic-verified growth data (length & weight) into visual, weekly updates.
When a mom checks the app, she sees that her baby has grown another inch.
She feels the reassurance that her baby is developing safely.
The data isn’t generic: it’s based on real antenatal visits, synced directly from the clinic.

🗓️ Reminders That Respect Her Schedule

It’s also easy to lose track of appointments in the mental fog of pregnancy. Missing one can trigger guilt or anxiety.
The app syncs future visits from the clinic and gently nudges moms when a check-up is near.

Today’s Overview — Relief at First Glance

When something feels off, moms don’t want to dig through menus. They want instant clarity.
The app shows directly a Common Symptoms for that week, and the detailed cause & effect of those certain symptoms:
Symptoms are prioritized based on historical patient data, meaning one symptoms could be different from another.
The copy is empathetic and conversational: “Feeling nausea? Here’s what might be happening, and what you can do.” This helps first-time moms in knowing what to do when such condition occurs
If a symptom could signal something more serious, it includes exact cues and direct access on when to call the clinic.
The fear of not knowing is often worse than the symptom itself. We eliminate that fear, fast.

Weekly Lifestyle Guidance — Dos & Don’ts

First-time moms are flooded with advice. But they rarely get clear, actionable answers to:

What should I do this week? What should I avoid?

Each week unlocks a set of personalized cards:
White cards (Dos): Gentle, encouraging habits like “Healthy eating” or “Try antenatal classes this week.”
Red cards (Don’ts): Respectful boundaries like “Avoid smoking,” or “Stop drinking alcohol.”
Each card when clicked, it opens to:
A short story or example
The science behind the advice
Encouragement, not instruction
When one of the card is clicked, it will navigate to a story-like page where first-time moms can read the details behind it.
When one of the card is clicked, it will navigate to a story-like page where first-time moms can read the details behind it.
This way, it offers a fun and also useful way for moms to learn about what to-do, and what to avoid in their pregnancy. No more reading a long-unnecessary articles just to look up relevant informations

✍️ Personalization:

Clinics can inject custom guidance based on medical records. If a mom has low iron or gestational diabetes, her “Dos & Don’ts” adapt automatically.
It’s not just education: it’s guidance that adapts to her, week after week. And it respects her intelligence, not overloads her with fear.

Explore Section — Discover What’s Good for You

Moms want to learn more—about food, sleep, exercise—but online advice is often confusing or conflicting.
Topic-based cards on things like “Exercise While Pregnant,” “Healthy Snacking,” or “How to Sleep Better” open into clean, motivating guides.
Each page shows:
The emotional and physical benefits
Tips matched to her current week
Real examples from other moms
This turns curiosity into confidence. Moms no longer feel like they’re guessing. They feel like they’re growing.

Brand & visual direction

We didn’t want the app to feel clinical. Pregnancy already comes with enough anxiety. So, we anchored our brand in warmth, optimism, and simplicity.
In terms of color, instead of the cold green-blue spectrum typical in health apps, we leaned into pastel yellows, peach, blush, and soft lavender, creating a cozy, non-intimidating experience.

Illustration Style: Flat, Friendly, and Full of Life

We used a flat, colorful illustration system, intentionally rounded and soft to avoid sterile or sharp edges. The characters are diverse, expressive, and a little playful, helping moms feel seen and supported without judgment. Movement, progression, and nurturing are recurring themes in the illustrations; reinforcing that pregnancy is a journey, not a checklist.
