Excited to share the first test version of ScrollBreak, built on Bubble under the app ID: https://brain-rot-35134.bubbleapps.io/version-test/api/1.1/mobile/preview?debug_mode=true&preview_view=Signup%20 ScrollBreak is an anti-doomscrolling app designed to help young people regain control over their attention. Instead of simply blocking social media, the app interrupts the user before they fall into infinite scrolling and redirects that impulse toward short, positive actions. The idea is simple: when the user feels the urge to scroll, ScrollBreak offers quick challenges, focus sessions, XP points, streaks and data insights to turn passive screen time into real-life progress. The app focuses on four key objectives: Breaking the automatic scroll loop Helping users pause before entering TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts or other high-distraction platforms. Replacing scrolling with action Offering short challenges such as movement, breathing resets, focus sprints or reflection prompts. Making self-control rewarding Using XP, streaks and progress indicators to make focus feel motivating rather than restrictive. Understanding digital habits Providing insights into phone use, social app usage, risk hours and time saved. ScrollBreak is built for a generation that does not need another boring productivity tool. It needs something visual, simple, gamified and honest — an app that speaks the same language as the platforms it is trying to counter, but with the opposite purpose. The goal is not to fight technology. The goal is to help users control it. ScrollBreak — Break the scroll. Win your focus back. I built ScrollBreak using Bubble’s Mobile Editor together with Bubble AI, combining no-code development with AI-assisted product building. This allowed me to design, structure and test a mobile-first app experience quickly, while focusing on the core objective of the project: helping young people reduce doomscrolling and regain control over their attention. Through Bubble’s visual editor, I created the app screens, user flows and mobile interface, while Bubble AI supported the generation of components, workflows and product logic. The result is an early-stage prototype that demonstrates how AI and no-code tools can accelerate the creation of digital wellbeing products with real behavioural impact. Manuel Gutiérrez
