The sound style they wanted was completely new to me — something in the realm of Rick and Morty energy — and stepping into that unfamiliar space was intimidating. But I pushed through, trusted my creativity, and presented the sounds anyway. And it paid off: they loved the result and decided to bring me on for the full game. I’m excited to share this again (https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNJOz6nuF4m/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==)—this time for the #shareyourwork challenge.😊 Following a few happy accidents 🧪, I found myself shaping deliberately “mutilated” textures: a blend of industrial hip-hop, distorted IDM, illbient, digital hardcore, and noise. To balance the grit ⚖️, I folded in traditional Chinese plucked timbres—especially the guzheng—bent, stretched, and re-amped until it clicked 🎼. I began with no clear approach, and then the pieces started connecting 🧩 and the flow arrived (aaand… yep, that’s the moment I chase) ✨ Huge thanks to @fafa_motion (https://www.instagram.com/fafa_motion/) for considering me for the sound design on this beautiful piece.
