For one of what will be several submissions to the 'Share Your Work' Challenge, I'm submitting the project i've been most proud of this year, a commercial I directed but that also happens to be the first End-to-End Commercial Production handled entirely within Contra. What does end-to-end mean for those unfamiliar with the production world? My team and I handled every aspect of the process, from Pre-Production where I led the creative direction and production planning for the commercial, to Production where we filmed it all over the course of one 17 hour shoot day, to Post Production where we edited the final cut over the span of 2-3 weeks. How I built a cinematic brand identity in the "White Void. I recently wrapped this spec project for Nike, focusing on a minimalist aesthetic I call "The White Void." As an AI Video Lead and Developer, I treat AI as a digital camera, not a "generator. Key Takeaways for Clients: Texture over Shine: We used matte satin and pilled cotton textures to avoid the "AI look." Motion Logic: Every camera move (from dolly zooms to impact tremors) was prompted to feel like a $1M production. Sonic Sync: The edit is driven by the heartbeat of the character. A while ago, I had the privilege of working for none other than Ben & Jerry’s to film their Free Cone Day in the Netherlands. In addition to filming and photography, I was responsible for handling filming rights, as the footage would be used in their global marketing campaigns. It was an incredible feeling to contribute to something so much bigger than myself. To this day, it remains my highest-paid one-off project. Considering it only required some prep and a half-day shoot, totaling eight hours of work, the rate I was able to charge was something I never had done before in my carreer! The footage was featured in their 2023 global campaigns, and I am still so grateful for the opportunity, which has since led to several more projects including internal work for Unilever.
