Born from my love for slow mornings and meaningful design, Sunday Brew is a brand identity concept that celebrates coffee as a ritual of calm, blending warmth, minimalism, and modern lifestyle aesthetics. Sunday Brew Cafe (& Coffee ☕)

It's been a while since I was active so thought I'd start off by sharing one of my recent branding projects which started out as a can design for a quick collab and spiralled into creating a whole brand world! Let me know your thoughts!

Between Jan '22 and Aug '23, I teamed up with my friend Mike to create and animate 248 unique, hand-drawn and digitally painted isometric dioramas for a collection of digital artworks centered around a fictional place called Lyke Island. What started as a creative side-experiment quickly grew into a full-scale world-building project – an intricate series of miniature environments that blend storytelling, pop culture, humour, and gamified collecting mechanics. The project resonated far beyond what we expected, cultivating a passionate community of thousands of collectors! A reminder that the tiniest spark can ignite entire worlds!

I've been locked-in on a big project, so I'm a late comer to this challenge, but I managed to carve out some time to create my entry! Introducing: 'Luma', an inquisitive reptile who follows me around inside Rive! 🦎 Entirely script driven, she follows your cursor and can even change colour when she settles on her favourite rock. It feels like the beginning of a little game I might have to keep developing! Where should Luma go next?

Cursor Camp, A Real-Time Multiplayer World, Built with Rive Cursor Camp (https://neal.fun/cursor-camp/) is a live multiplayer playground where up to 1000 real cursors from around the globe share the same space simultaneously. A beach, lazy river, clubhouse, campfire, soccer pitch, cave, treehouse and more, brought to life through over 40 Rive-powered interactions and animations spanning environments, characters, objects, and interactions. My role was building the entire Rive layer. Starting from the illustrator’s artwork, I translated everything into interactive systems, rigging and animating scenes, characters, and objects while developing the state machines and behaviours that make the world feel dynamic and alive. The real challenge was making it data-aware. Using ViewModel data binding and Luau scripting throughout, every animation responds to live runtime input, with cursors picking up objects, triggering states, and reacting to a constantly changing world. That includes moments like players duetting on a piano in real time, progressively eating an entire cake with each click, adding sticks to a fire to increase its intensity, or dropping ingredients into a cauldron to dynamically change the colour of the broth. The result is a Rive system ready to be wired into Neal Agarwal’s multiplayer backend, where WebSockets keep thousands of players in sync in real time. It hit the front page of Hacker News on day one, with people asking one question over and over: How is this running in a browser? That’s the impossible UI.

Last week, I created Poco A Poco, a concept identity system for a Venezuelan street-food truck in New York. The project was made for a competition raising donations for families affected by the earthquakes in Venezuela. This sat close to home. I have family who were there during the earthquakes, and who are now part of rescue teams helping to find people beneath the rubble. Poco a poco means “little by little.” That phrase became the heart of the project. Food discovered bite by bite. Recipes carried between generations. A migrant community building new ties in a different city. The identity grew from three ideas: origin, adaptation and community. Research into San José de Barlovento and Afro-Venezuelan culture shaped the direction. I wanted the system to feel immediate from the street and richer the closer you get. Little by little. Bite by bite. View the full project here: https://jeremiahhaastrup.com/work/poco-a-poco

Not every coffee moment needs a rush. Nocaff is my recent brand identity concept, created for people who want the ritual, flavour, and comfort of coffee without the caffeine kick. Built around a French Vanilla profile and an identity rooted in ease, the brand was designed to feel calm, modern, and distinct on shelf. From the wordmark to the sloth illustration, every detail was made to turn decaf into something memorable, not ordinary. It was a chance to explore how quiet can still stand out. My new portfolio is live! Over the past few months, I have been refining the work, rewriting the case studies and rebuilding the site to give a clearer view of my practice and where it's heading. My portfolio brings together identity systems, packaging and websites, with a focus on the strategy behind each project and how design can give brands more direction. https://jeremiahhaastrup.com (https://jeremiahhaastrup.com)I’d be interested to hear which project leaves the strongest impression!
