It was a pleasure to team up with http://forgooddesignlab.com to deliver the new website for Arc. Arc are architectural builders committed to the responsible construction of timber-rich projects. They collaborate with top-tier architects to build homes that are crafted with care and designed to last. The website needed to express this new brand and communicate Arc's story with clarity, depth, and confidence. The goal was to align the brand and website with the business's capabilities and future direction. Arc had outgrown their previous online presence and needed a site that clearly communicated who they are, what they value, and the quality of their work. ↳ https://arcprojects.build Built in @webflow (https://x.com/webflow)

Logistics is usually sold on scale: fleet numbers, port coverage, capacity. We wanted the team section to argue the opposite point, that the service is delivered by people making judgement calls. The layout gives each person real presence rather than compressing the team into a thumbnail grid. Portraits are treated at a size that holds attention, with hover states revealing role detail. It's a small section that does a lot of work for trust, especially for a business where clients hand over cargo worth a great deal of money.

The About page had to carry years of operational history without becoming a wall of copy. We structured it as a paced scroll rather than a document. Type scale shifts, imagery breaks the rhythm at deliberate points, and white space is used to control reading speed. The result gives the company story the same sense of movement as the rest of the site, so it holds attention instead of asking for patience.

Page transitions are handled as continuations rather than cuts. Motion leaving one page becomes motion arriving on the next, with no white flash and no hard reset in between. The effect is that the site behaves like a single continuous space you're travelling through, which matters a lot on a project built around the idea of a journey. It also gave us room to hide loading time inside the transition itself, so the experience stays smooth even on slower connections.

Micro-interactions are where a site stops feeling like a document and starts feeling like a place. United Carriers 2.0 is full of them. A custom cursor trail shaped after the logo. A footer that responds as you move through it. Considered hover states on every button and content block. Small state changes throughout that acknowledge the user's input. Individually none of these are impressive, and that's the point. They aren't meant to be noticed. Together they create a constant sense that the site is responsive and alive, and that no element was left sitting on its default behaviour. It's the layer that separates a site that looks finished from one that actually feels finished.
