Cover image for The Penguin Hiding Behind One
The Penguin Hiding Behind One Name A self-produced 37-second science explainer for VarysDrogo, using original schematic animation to introduce a research proposal that separates gentoo penguins into four species. Original geometric penguin illustrations, a hand-drawn approximate orientation map, a generic illustrated museum specimen and timed English captions turn the research into a short visual story. The grouping is an explanatory schematic, not a reproduced scientific figure. AI-generated generic narration is disclosed. No paper figures, stock footage, museum photographs or third-party music are used. Research source: Noll et al. (2026), Communications Biology, https://doi.org/10.1038/s42003-026-10081-7 The video presents a proposed taxonomic revision; it does not claim universal adoption. Own-channel editorial work, not a paid-client project or a claim of audience or revenue results. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/EfFV1Zt-5Sk
