Art Projects in LongmontArt Projects in LongmontFor this album design, I embraced a surreal, painterly aesthetic that features a solitary figure playing an instrument against a vast, dreamlike backdrop of deep teals and vibrant sunset corals. The composition is dominated by a dramatic, bright white vapor trail that cuts diagonally across the textured clouds, guiding the eye seamlessly from the front cover across the spine and onto the disc face for a continuous visual narrative. By combining the nostalgic, organic feel of the lone musician with the high-contrast, almost sci-fi color palette of the sky and distant city silhouettes, I aimed to create a moody, cinematic atmosphere, keeping the typography minimal and white to ensure the rich, atmospheric artwork remains the focal point. For this album packaging design concept, I focused on an immersive, nature-centric aesthetic featuring a vibrant, hyper-realistic green tree frog situated in a rainy, atmospheric forest. The composition utilizes a strong depth of field with soft background bokeh and distinct rain streaks to create a moody, cinematic sense of depth, allowing the glossy textures and orange accents of the frog to pop against the lush emerald palette. I extended the high-definition imagery seamlessly across the digipak cover, the spine, and the physical disc surface to create a continuous visual narrative, pairing the organic, wet textures with clean, minimal white sans-serif typography to ensure a modern, polished finish perfect for an ambient or alternative music release.
