CFO_Portable — Medical Device Design & R&D | Center for Research in Optics (CIO) Concept development and physical design of a portable non-mydriatic fundus camera aimed at general practitioners for the diagnosis and early detection of diabetic retinopathy. Developed within a formal multidisciplinary R&D environment at the Center for Research in Optics A.C. (CIO) alongside Dr. Daniel Malacara's product development committee. The design process required simultaneous resolution of optical system constraints, clinical usability requirements, ergonomic performance, portability, and structural considerations — translating complex technical requirements into a coherent physical design system developed to support prototype validation. The project resulted in a granted Mexican Patent (No. 432599, IMPI, February 2026), recognizing the design contribution within the broader R&D development. Lead Industrial Designer — CAD development, product architecture, anthropometric analysis, and design representation at the CIO Product Development Committee.

Optometría CIO — Clinical Instrument Concept | Technology-Based Design · BID Madrid 2021 Concept development of a compact and portable clinical hardware system designed to house and protect optical diagnostic components developed by the Center for Research in Optics A.C. (CIO)—oriented toward accessible telemedicine applications and remote diagnostic workflows for underserved communities. The design process integrated human-centered design principles, material perception strategy, ergonomic handling requirements, and clinical usability considerations—developing a system where high-quality material selection, intuitive interaction, and structural protection coexist with portability and battery autonomy to support field deployment and telemedicine implementation. Recognition · Awarded-Selected — "50 Talents, Ideas for a Better World" — Bienal Iberoamericana de Diseño (BID), Madrid 2021 · Finalist — Premio Nacional de Diseño DiseñaMéxico 2021
