Cover image for Event Booking & Payment Flow
Event Booking & Payment Flow | Mobile App UI Checkout is where most event apps lose users. Unclear ticket tiers, hidden fees, and too many steps between selection and confirmation push people out before they pay. We designed Momento's full booking and payment flow for a live events platform that needed ticket selection, group splitting, and payment confirmation to feel fast and obvious, not like filling out a form. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 Ticket Selection Screen: Standard ($1,000) and VIP Pass ($3,000) with +/− steppers and a live $3,000 total updating before the Buy Ticket CTA appears. Split Bill System: A group payment option built directly into the flow. Friends split the cost without leaving the app or switching to a calculator. Bottom Sheet Payment: Payment options surface as a bottom sheet; users decide quickly without losing event context behind them. Price Transparency: Base price, service fee, and taxes are broken out line by line before a single confirmation tap no surprises at checkout. Confirmation Screen: Booking confirmed with clear next-action copy closure delivered inside the app, no redirect, and no ambiguity. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 Progressive disclosure keeps each step focused on one decision at a time, familiar patterns throughout, and strong visual hierarchy so date, host, and price are always the first things a user sees. The bottom sheet interaction keeps context intact while enabling fast decisions. 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 A checkout flow that reduces drop-off by making ticket selection, group splitting, and payment confirmation feel like three taps not three screens of friction. Tools: Figma, Jitter
