I built a scalable backend system for a social event booking platform that enables hosts to create events and guests to discover, join, and interact in real time.
The platform is currently generating over $60K+ in revenue, handling real users, payments, and live interactions.
🚀 Key Features & Contributions:
• Designed a multi-role system (Host & Guest) with secure authentication
• Built complete event lifecycle: creation, booking, participation, and reviews
• Integrated Stripe for payments, including wallet system for hosts
• Implemented payout flow allowing hosts to withdraw earnings
• Handled refunds, disputes, and transaction management
💬 Real-Time Communication:
• One-to-one chat between users
• Event-based chat for participants
• Group chat system for social interaction
• Media sharing (images, voice notes, events, reminders)
📈 Growth & Engagement Systems:
• Followers & following system (social graph)
• In-app notifications, email, SMS, and WhatsApp alerts
• Event promotion and user engagement features
⚙️ Performance & Scalability:
• Optimized backend to handle concurrent users and real-time messaging
• Designed scalable architecture for future growth
• Ensured secure and reliable payment processing
💡 Result:
A production-ready backend powering a live platform with thousands of users and $60K+ revenue, built for scalability, performance, and real-world usage. Product data scattered across spreadsheets, different tools for different regions, and no single source of truth. An e-commerce business managing catalogs across multiple storefronts and markets was hitting a wall with data inconsistencies, duplicate work, and no variant control.
They needed someone who could understand the complexity, document it clearly, and keep the development team moving without getting lost in the architecture. We structured the requirements for multi-tenant catalog management with region-specific logic, variant modelling, media handling, and kept delivery on track. The platform now gives their teams across regions a single place to manage everything, without stepping on each other's data. A few months ago I ran into a problem.
I found beautiful websites with great UI, colors, and typography — but extracting assets or studying the design system was painfully slow.
So I built ZipIt.
🚀 ZipIt v1.3 is here.
Capture, analyze, and extract assets from any website with 3 powerful modes:
⬇️ Download Mode – Download full sites (HTML, CSS, JS, assets)
🎨 Design Mode – Detect colors, fonts, type scale, media library
🔍 Inspect Mode – Inspect layouts, export HTML, copy to Figma
Built for designers, developers, and indie builders.
Now live on Chrome, Firefox, Edge & Softonic.
