Michel Nostradamus (16th Century) Bitcoin Theory:
Nostradamus never actually mentioned Bitcoin; his 16th-century quatrains are famously vague, poetic verses that believers retrofit to events after the fact. That hasn't stopped crypto enthusiasts from pointing to lines about "gold," "a new law," or wealth rising from the East as supposed hints of digital currency and Bitcoin's meteoric growth.
In reality, there's no concrete evidence he foresaw the cryptocurrency revolution; the "predictions" only appear once you already know the outcome. Still, the fun of Nostradamus is that his verses are just ambiguous enough that every era, including the Web3 one, can find itself in them.
