Project Title: Cosmic Balance: Complex Creative Image Composition
Project Description:
For this project, I wanted to push my Photoshop skills and create something entirely surreal. I took completely separate elements—a sea turtle, a collection of planets, and a glowing sun—and brought them together into a seamless, cosmic-themed composition.
How I made it happen:
Clean selections: I spent time making sure the turtle and planets were cut out perfectly, using precise masking so there are no rough edges or leftover background peeking through.
Building the layout: I carefully layered the chains, scale, and planets to make sure the composition felt balanced and had a realistic sense of weight and depth.
Chasing the light: To make it feel real, I created a custom light source coming from the sun at the bottom. I manually added glowing highlights and color reflections along the planets and the underside of the turtle so they look like they belong in the same space.
Final blending: I added a cosmic starfield background and used subtle noise texturing and color grading to tie all the separate images together into one cohesive piece.
This project shows exactly what I love doing: taking completely unrelated visual assets and blending them with pixel-perfect precision to create something striking.
